Robert: Brewery creates beer from Christmas tree

A brewery in Milwaukee has developed a new kind of Christmas cheer.

Black Husky Brewery says its latest brew, Tree Sproose, contains spruce from the city’s Christmas tree.

“I looked at the tree and I said ‘I think that’s a spruce tree, and I wonder if I could get a couple of branches of that,'” co-owner Tim Eichinger says.

Eichinger notes that a portion of the sales from the brew will support the Milwaukee Urban Forestry Fund.
