Robert: Blue Jays fan gets a shout out from The Rock
Catching a foul ball at a baseball game? That’s pretty cool.
Getting a thumbs up from The Rock for it? No THAT’S something to brag about.
Dean Clarke and his parents were making his way back to his seat along the third base line at Rogers Centre in Toronto when he reached into the air and snagged an incoming foul ball. Not impressed? Well, Clarke not only caught the ball, but he did so barehanded and with a beer in his other hand.
“I was in complete awe. I couldn’t believe I caught a ball. My mom and dad stood up, they were screaming,” Clarke says.
What followed was a barrage of social media notifications on Clarke’s phone as Budweiser, the Toronto Blue Jays and various sports outlets all shared a video of the catch. The most surprising news from all of this came after the game however, when Dean was stopped by a police officer. “He said ‘You’re never going to believe this, but The Rock just tweeted about your catch!'”

“He showed me and I couldn’t believe it. I just stood there. The Rock is a big deal.” Clarke would go on to tweet his excitement about getting a shout out from “The Great One” which prompted a second Tweet from Johnson.
“Great catch brother. Even better t-shirt,” the Fast and the Furious star tweeted in response to Clarke wearing a fanny-pack clad Johnson on his torso.
