Robert: Alex Trebek’s final episode of “Jeopardy!” will air on Christmas Day
Alex Trebek’s final episode of Jeopardy! is set to air on Christmas Day, December 25th, 2020.
Producers announced the broadcast date of the long time quiz show host’s last episode following the announcement of his passing. Trebek filmed what would be his last episodes of the show on October 29th, ten days before his death.
“He was the most professional person I worked with in any capacity. Here he was battling cancer, chemo, exhaustion, but you couldn’t tell when the cameras rolled,” said executive producer Mike Richards. “The fact that he recorded what would be his final episodes two weeks ago gives you an idea of how much he cared about the show.”

Richards continues to say that while he didn’t know how important these episodes would end up being, he still had “chills” during tapings.
“He gave a speech talking about togetherness, how important family is and it will resonate even more now,” he added. “It was so beautiful, we were all in tears.”
According to sources, the show has no plans to announce Trebek’s replacement at this time.
Alex Trebek died on Sunday after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer.
