Robert: ABC planning quarantined versions of “DWTS” and “The Bachelorette” this fall
ABC is working around the COVID-19 pandemic by creating “quarantine” versions of some of their hit reality shows.
“The Bachelorette”, which was originally suppose to air this summer, is scheduled to be taped at a remote location, where contestants will be tested and quarantined with the crew for the duration of filming.
In addition. “Dancing with the Stars” producers say they are confident in their ability to “deliver that show, even in a quickly post-COVID environment.”
The network is the last major broadcaster to announce their fall plans.
“Anybody that’s convinced of anything right now is not speaking truth,” says ABC Entertainment President Karey Burke. “This is a target for us; we’re calling it our premiere schedule. We’re hopeful that it’s a version of our fall schedule, but we felt it’s important to announce it now so we have something to work toward.”
