Province’s Streak of No New COVID-19 Cases Hits 16 Days

Announced today via social media, there are no new known cases of COVID-19 in Newfoundland and Labrador. The province has now been without a newly detected case for 16 days. The total number of cases rests at 260, but with one new recovery reported since Friday afternoon, the number of active cases has shrunk to three. Those three people remain in hospital, with one in ICU. It was announced yesterday that unless things take a turn for the worse, the video briefings will be held only on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; however we can expect new numbers to be released every day.
