Province Records Three New COVID-19 Cases, Active Total Rises to Nine
Announced Saturday afternoon, there are three new cases of COVID-19 in Newfoundland and Labrador. The new cases bring the total case number to 282 and there are nine active cases. All three new cases are females in the Western Health Region under 19 years of age. They are close contacts of a previous case and are all members of the same extended household. Since they were previously identified as close contacts of a positive case, they have been in quarantine, so there is no risk of community transmission. Contact tracing has already been completed.
