Pogo sticks as public transit? Swedish company wants to use kids toy in San Francisco
A Swedish company is planning to bring rentable pogo sticks to San Francisco. KPIX-TV reports the startup Cangoroo hopes to deliver 100-200 of their pogo sticks to San Francisco late this summer or in the fall to compete with the ubiquitous electric scooters as a transport option. Cangoroo will first launch their product in two Swedish cities this summer. According to CEO Adam Mikkelsen, the company chose San Francisco as a next step because of the city’s reputation for innovation. The pogo sticks could be used for transportation or fitness. “We’ve been following the micro-mobility market and seen the demand,” he said.
