One New Case of COVID-19 in Newfoundland and Labrador
Announced Saturday afternoon, there is one new case of COVID-19 in Newfoundland and Labrador. The new case is a woman in the Eastern Health region between 20-39 years of age who recently traveled from the United States. She has been in self-isolation since her arrival and all close contacts have been advised to quarantine. Contact tracing from Public Health is complete and the risk to the general public is low. The new case brings the total number of confirmed cases in the province to 270, with just two active cases. To date, 33,166 people have been tested.
