Nicki Minaj had a real doozy of a Tuesday
How was your Tuesday? Probably better than Nicki Minaj. It all started when ranted on Twitter about her new album Queen not being number one. It finished second to Travis Scott’s new album, and Minaj took to Twitter to accuse the rapper of using Kylie Jenner and their baby Stormi Webster to boost album sales. Then, on Tuesday, Nicki said on her own radio show with a laugh, “I know that you guys are saying me and Stormi have beef. Yes we do. Now this is what the f**k is happening today. Me against baby Stormi. We have this rivalry now.” The comment seemed to be made in jest.
It continued when rumours surfaced that Nicki’s new headlining tour has seen disastrous ticket sales. “Nicki’s tour could be the most disappointing ticket sales of the year for any artist,” a Live Nation insider tells Page Six. “These are big arenas with up to 20,000 capacities. Sales for opening night in Baltimore is 2,000 tickets. LA is 3,400, New Orleans 1,000, Denver 1,300, Chicago 3,900. Even her hometown Brooklyn is only 5,050.”
It was then announced Tuesday night that Ms. Minaj had postponed the North American leg of her tour until next year. Future is also off the tour, reportedly due to a scheduling conflict. Oh, Nicki.
