New Presumptive Positive Case of COVID-19 at Voisey’s Bay Mine Site
Saturday afternoon, the province has announced there is one new presumptive positive case of COVID-19 in Newfoundland and Labrador. The case is a male worker between 20 and 39 years of age at the Voisey’s Bay mine site in Northern Labrador. He tested positive at the worksite and additional testing is being done by Public Health to confirm the case. Until confirmation is received, the case is only presumptive positive, so the province continues to have three confirmed active cases. The individual is self-isolating and contact tracing is underway.
