A store in Ireland decided to put a stop to sweaty cash this month. So, what’s sweaty cash? It’s exactly what it sounds like. It’s paper money soaked in sweat.
A store called Mattress Mick pleaded with it’s customers to stop keeping their money in their bras because workers were concerned about their personal safety.
The social media post read:
“An URGENT alert in our #coolock store. Due to the soaring heatwave across Dublin and ongoing safe trading with social distancing, we would urge all customers not to pay us from their bras and keep your euro notes in your purse or handbag at all times.”
The sign in-store said:
“Due to rising temperatures, and for our personal safety, we will not be accepting bra money. Sorry for any inconvenience.”
