Hugh: Two New COVID-19 Cases, Two New Recoveries Reported

The province announced Thursday afternoon that there are two new cases of COVID-19 in Newfoundland and Labrador. Both cases are located in the Eastern Health region and one is related to international travel, while the other is connected to domestic travel. Contract tracing is underway and anyone considered a close contact has been advised to quarantine. There have also been two new recoveries since yesterday, so the province has 27 active cases. Out of an abundance of caution, the province has announced a new travel advisory. Anyone who traveled on Air Canada flight 2016 from Montreal to St. John’s on Wednesday, April 28th should arrange for COVID-19 testing.
