Hugh: Province Reports Hospitalizations Down to 18, 208 New COVID-19 Cases in Saturday Update

Announced Saturday afternoon on social media, there are now 18 people in hospital with COVID-19 across Newfoundland and Labrador. The figure represents a decline in the number of hospitalizations, which had been at 20 for the last few days. There have also been 208 new cases announced, with 112 in the Eastern Health region, 35 in Central Health, 37 in Western Health, and 24 in the Labrador-Grenfell Health region. The number of active cases is also down, indicating once again more recoveries than newly confirmed cases. The province says there are 2,232 known active cases.
