Saturday afternoon, Newfoundland and Labrador released a new batch of COVID-19 case numbers, and in terms of hospitalizations and active cases, we’re heading in the right direction. There are currently 15 people in hospital with the virus, down three from yesterday. There have been 283 new cases confirmed since yesterday, but with the number of recoveries once again outweighing the new cases, the province now has 2.583 active cases. 170 of the new cases are in the Eastern Health region, 59 are in Central Health, 31 in Western Health, and 23 are in the Labrador-Grenfell Health region. 1,796 tests have been completed since yesterday’s update.
