Hugh: Province Left With Five Active Cases After Recording 21 New Recoveries, No New Cases Since Yesterday
Announced Saturday afternoon, there are no new cases of COVID-19 in Newfoundland and Labrador. With 21 new recoveries since yesterday, all in the Eastern Health region, there are now five active cases in the province. One person remains in hospital. As the province’s vaccine rollout continues, pre-registration remains open to people 70 years of age or older, as well as home support workers and first responders. Eastern Health, Central Health, and Western Health all began vaccinating first responders this past week, and the Labrador-Grenfell Health region will begin on Monday.
