Every age group has its challenges, but if you ask parents, the teenage years are the toughest. A new survey asked parents what the hardest age to parent is, and 75% of respondents said it’s between 13 and 19, with 15 being the number one answer. Now I don’t have any kids of my own, so the parents out there reading this will have to tell me – do you agree or disagree with these results? The survey also asked parents what the most stressful things about raising a teenager are, and here are the top ten:

  1. Mood swings
  2. Helping with life choices, like schooling
  3. Allowing them to make mistakes
  4. Too much time spent on technology
  5. Managing their emotions
  6. Hormones
  7. Helping with homework
  8. Trusting them to make their own decisions
  9. Helping them plan for the future
  10. Worrying about good grades
