Hugh: New ‘Matrix’ Movie Gets its First Trailer

The long-awaited fourth movie in the ‘Matrix’ series finally has a trailer and there’s a lot to get into. Directed by Lana Wachowski, the film reunites stars Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss, who of course played Neo and Trinity through the original run. ‘The Matrix Resurrections’ seemingly takes place years after the original trilogy, and Neo appears not to remember his role in fighting for humanity. Not too much about the plot is revealed through the first trailer, but if you ask me, that’s the way a trailer should be edited. The clip is set to the tune of ‘White Rabbit’, which plays into the red pill/blue pill theme of the narrative. Careful viewers will notice other visual “reflections” as a theme that will likely run through the movie, even showing up in the upcoming release date of December 22nd, 2021 (12.22.21.).
