Hugh: New iPhones Won’t Come With Charger or Headphones
This week, Apple announced its new line of iPhones, the iPhone 12 family. There’s a slightly new design, changes to the camera, will come 5G-ready, and other features. One thing that Apple announced that caught the ears of many is that they won’t come with a charger or headphones. The company says the move is so that they can switch to lighter packaging to lessen its carbon footprint. They will, of course, still be selling chargers with separate packaging. The move is getting a lot of criticism online, with Samsung even mocking their competitor by promoting that chargers come included with your Galaxy. Others have noted that the starting prices for the new iPhone 12s are in line with the 11s and Apple is charging just as much while taking away the charger and headphones.
