For those baseball fans worrying about a potentially long stretch without games being played, worry no more. After an MLB lockout forced the first few series of this upcoming season to be cancelled, it looks like the stalemate is over. Owners had been butting heads with the players’ union over several issues, but a new labour deal went to a vote this afternoon and passed by a 26-12 vote. The exact conditions of the deal going forward are unclear right now, but the agreement will allow training camps to open this week. Opening day is being planned for April 7th, only a week after the original date of March 31st. Play ball.
