Hugh: McDonald’s Canada Teasing Menu Item Coming out of Retirement

I bet you already have a specific food in mind you’re hoping for. Yesterday afternoon, the McDonald’s Canada Twitter account made a post teasing that a is coming out of retirement on May 11th, along with a picture of a locked red vault and multi-coloured question marks. The post calls the item in question a tasty treat with an emoji of a Canadian flag, offering subtle hints at what it could be. If you’re anything like me, you’re going to be disappointed if it’s not the McPizza, and it looks like that’s the case. If you take a look at the account’s activity, you’ll notice that it responds positively to people who guess that it’s going to be the Smarties McFlurry. The subtle hints in the post also align with that idea, considering the colours used in the image, the description of “tasty treat” matching a sweeter item, and the fact that Smarties are a Canadian candy.
