Hugh: 18% of People Say They’ve Already Bought Halloween Candy This Year. Have You?

If you ask me, buying Halloween candy multiple weeks before October 31st is just inviting temptation into your house. Generally I try to wait as long as possible so I won’t keep dipping into the candy that’s meant for trick-or-treaters, however that’s not necessarily what most people do. According to a survey, about 18% of people buy their Halloween candy in September or earlier. The majority of people (65%) buy theirs in the first few weeks of October, and only 12% of people wait until the last minute like myself. The last five percent of respondents say it varies or they’ll have to stock up more than once. As far as I’m concerned, if a combined 83% of the public buys candy weeks ahead of Halloween, but only 5% say they’ll have to buy more, that’s a whole lot of people lying to themselves.
