The Public Utilities Board has made an unexpected adjustment to the price of most fuels in the province.

The PUB says the change is due to recent commodity market developments.

The price of gasoline saw a hefty increase of 9.3 cents per litre, while diesel saw a jump of 17.1 cents.

Elsewhere, furnace oil increased by 14.82 cents and stove oil on the Island went up by 15.44 cents.
