An Amy Winehouse hologram tour is coming in 2019
Amy Winehouse will be the next deceased singer to return to the concert stage in hologram form. According to Reuters, the show will debut in 2019 and will be produced by the same company that has done hologram tours featuring Roy Orbison and opera great Maria Callas. While some critics take issue with the idea of deceased artists being brought back in hologram form, Winehouse’s father Mitch has confirmed that all money earned will go to The Amy Winehouse Foundation–which helps people dealing with substance abuse. “We felt this would be a tremendous way for Amy both to revisit her fans through a hologram, and also an incredible way to raise money for our foundation,” he says.
